Dr. Michael Schaplowsky, ND, stands at the intersection of diverse academic achievements, clinical expertise, and a profound commitment to holistic healthcare. As a licensed naturopathic doctor, he has forged a unique path, blending extensive education, clinical experience, and a passion for promoting well-being.A native Albertan, Dr. Schaplowsky’s academic journey began with dual Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of Alberta. His first degree, in Biological Sciences, delved deep into genetics, laying a strong foundation for his future medical pursuits. His second degree, in Medical Laboratory Studies within the Faculty of Medicine, saw him engaged in a comprehensive internship at the University of Alberta Hospitals. Here, he gained hands-on experience in various departments, including Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Histopathology, Stat Lab, and Medical Microbiology in collaboration with the Provincial Lab.Dr. Schaplowsky’s commitment to healthcare extended further as he earned his Doctoral Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the prestigious National University of Natural Medicine, the oldest of its kind in North America. This comprehensive training equipped him with a diverse skill set, integrating conventional and naturopathic approaches to patient care.Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Schaplowsky, ND expanded his educational horizons with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Divinity from Newman Theological College. His diverse educational background reflects his holistic approach to patient care, integrating scientific knowledge with a profound understanding of spirituality.
